Dive into one of the most beautiful and diverse place in Baja.

Cabo Pulmo is a small fishing village turned into an ecotourism paradise. It was established as a Marine Park in 1995.

It is one of only three living reefs in North America and the only one in the Sea of Cortez. The park consists of multiple fingers of hard coral that stretch along the park boundaries.

Cabo Pulmo has more than 24 dive sites, which vary in depth from 30 to 100 feet.

5 of these sites are considered popular. They have special requirements such as being advanced divers and having more than 20 logged dives. this in order to guarantee the well-being of the sites (park rules).

Nautilus Dive Tech loves to go to Cabo Pulmo on any date. Throughout the year the water has different temperatures, which means that different migratory, pelagic and recurrent species can be sighted during the whole year.

As we can have very clear and warm waters, we can have cold and dark waters. Don’t worry! No matter which one we find, each of them is filled with different surprises with more opportunities to see different species such as jacks, groupers, mobula, cow nose ray, bull shark, humpback whales and more than 900 species of tropical fish and invertebrates.

Itinerary and Logistics

Our adventure to Cabo Pulmo begins at the Nautilus DiveTech facilities, where we will meet at 6:00 am to leave to the park.

The park is 2.5 hours away by road, where the last 10 kilometers will be covered by dirt roads.

Upon reaching the town of Cabo Pulmo, the equipment will be put on and assembled on the boat to be able to reach our first diving site.

To give all the daily visitors the opportunity to enjoy the park, we will choose two of our favorite diving sites in Cabo Pulmo and, based on a lottery made by the park, we will be given our diving schedules. 2 dives are expected before we leave the park.

After the dive, we will eat at a local restaurant. It is expected to take the road back no later than 2 pm. So that we have time to go to 2 key points where you can take a couple of photos in a magical town, Tropic of Cancer and eat an ice cream from the local people. We expect to return to Nautilus DiveTech facilities at 4 or 5 pm in the afternoon.

Since it’s a full day, we recommend to sleep well, bring extra clothes, a cold jacket, and anything that makes you feel comfortable on the road.

  • The tour starts at sunrise (6:00 AM) and the trip from Cabo San Lucas to Cabo Pulmo takes 2.5 hours.

2.5 hours to return to Nautilus from Cabo Pulmo.

The tour ends approximately 2:00-3:00 PM.

  • We require and Open water diver certification.

  • We require a minimum of 3 Divers for this trip (it can be one group or mixed clients). For groups of less than 3 people, or individual tours, request your quote.
