Know our history

Foundation

1998 - Our dream started as a way to elevate Diving in Cabo San Lucas to a new level, Bruce and Casey Omhold (our founders) had the idea to create a specialized school in technical diving, which includes Deep Diving, Double tanks, Rebreathers, and tri-mix diving.

Our rebreather technology

1998 - 2014 - Nautilus Dive Tech had always differentiated from average dive shops with the use of top-tier equipment and research, we even developed our own Rebreather technology, a complex and unique system of gases and materials that recycle your own exhales, leaving no bubbles behind and giving the diver up to 8 hours of immersion. Due to unfortunate events and the damage that the Huracan Odile made, we discontinued our rebreather research.

PADI 5-stars Dive center

2015 - For 15 years we focused exclusively on technical instruction, then, we opened our facilities to recreational diving and PADI courses, always focusing on our teaching expertise and customer-centered service. Just one year later we received the PADI 5 STAR award for our outstanding service, and granting us the opportunity to teach every PADI course, from open water to technical diving.

Involved in change

2020 - Our Love for the ocean has taken us to collaborate in protection campaigns and research projects all across Baja, in 2020 we teamed up with Sea Sheperd for coral protection projects and wildlife documentation.

We care for what we love: our oceans

Throughout our history, we've been part of numerous restoration and wildlife protection projects, we´re constantly researching and monitoring environmental changes and making consciousness about our magnificent underwater landscape.

We teamed up with SINERGIA AZUL, a sealife research campaign that gathers biologists and nature enthusiasts alike in an effort to bring real-time data on megafauna and coral health to public knowledge
